X (Twitter) FAQs

  1. Q: Can I track posts from competitors?
    Yes. As long as the post is public and matches your filters, it will be included. You will also need to have competitors included in your contract. Contact your account director for more information on tracking competitors.

  2. Q: Can I access deleted posts?
    No. Deleted posts are not retrievable unless already ingested.

  3. Q: Are protected (private) accounts included?
    No. Posts from protected accounts are excluded unless you have mutual access.

  4. Q: Can I see DMs in Analyse?
    Only from owned and authorised accounts, and only after authorisation.

  5. Q: Can I track mentions using keywords and hashtags?
    Yes. X supports robust keyword and hashtag-based filtering.

  6. Q: Why do some mentions seem to be missing?
    X may have been deleted, protected, or didn’t meet your filter criteria.

  7. Q: Can I view replies in tweet threads?
    Yes. Replies to owned tweets are typically ingested, including threaded conversations.

  8. Q: Are reposts and quote reposts tracked?
    Yes. Reposts and quotes that match your filters will appear in Analyse.

  9. Q: Is engagement data like likes or shares available?
    Basic engagement data is included where available, but not always in real-time.

  10. Q: How often should I reauthorise my X account? 
    Reauthorisation is needed when tokens expire or permissions are changed. You can view profile expiry dates in Setup > Profiles.
