Managing brands and phrases

Learn how to check your brands and phrases in DataEQ’s Analyse platform to ensure consistent and accurate data collection for reliable reporting.

Overview

When your account was set up, one or more brands would have been added. While we use the term "brand," this could also refer to a research theme.

Keywords and Phrases

Keywords, which we call “phrases,” determine what data is saved to your account. These phrases are added under each brand and should represent how people might speak about the brand online, or the IDs of profiles owned by the brand.

How to View Your Brands and Phrases

You can find out how the brands in your account are configured by clicking on Setup. This section will show you the current brands and phrases set up for your account.

Maintaining Consistency in Data Collection

To ensure accurate and reliable reporting, it’s crucial to keep your data collection strategy consistent. If you are reporting on a brand month-on-month, avoid frequent changes to your brand setup once the key phrases are configured. This consistency allows for accurate comparisons and ensures you are “comparing apples with apples.”
