How to Reset Your Password and Manage Login Issues

If you are having trouble accessing your account, follow the steps below to reset your password or resolve a login lockout.

Step 1: Initiating a Password Reset

If you cannot remember your password, you can request a secure reset link from the login page.

  1. Navigate to the login screen.

  2. Click the Forgot password? link located below the login fields.

  3. Enter your email address and click Request Password Change Email.

  4. Check your inbox for an email with the subject line "Forgot your password?"

  5. Click the unique link inside that email to be directed to the password creation page.

Step 2: Creating a Secure Password

To ensure the security of your account, your new password must meet specific security standards. If your chosen password does not meet these criteria, you will be prompted to try again.

Your password must include:

  • Length: Between 12 and 40 characters.

  • Character Variety: You cannot repeat a single character more than twice in a row (e.g., "aaaaaa" is not permitted).

  • No Sequences: Avoid common keyboard or numerical sequences (e.g., "qwerty" or "12345").

  • Uniqueness: The system will reject passwords that are found on lists of "commonly used passwords" (e.g., "password123").

Login Attempts and Account Lockouts

To protect your account from unauthorized access, we limit the number of consecutive failed login attempts.

  • Attempt Limit: You are allowed 3 login attempts.

  • Lockout Duration: If you enter the incorrect credentials 3 times, your account will be temporarily locked for security purposes.

  • Cooling-off Period: You must wait 15 minutes before attempting to log in again.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Didn’t receive the email? Check your Spam or Junk folder. If it’s still missing, ensure you are using the correct email address associated with your account.

  • Link expired? For your protection, password reset links are valid for a limited time. If the link has expired, simply request a new one by following Step 1 again.
