The Mentions Panel in Analyse allows users to view, filter, and manage individual mentions collected from social media, news, blogs, and other online sources. This panel is essential for reviewing sentiment, applying tags, and analysing customer conversations at a granular level.


How to Access the Mentions Panel

  1. Log in to Analyse at https://analyse.dataeq.com.
  2. Click on Mentions panel in the navigation menu.
  3. The Mentions Panel will display a list of individual mentions, sorted by the latest mentions received.

Key Features of the Mentions Panel

1. Viewing and Filtering Mentions

  • Use the Filter mentions option to refine mentions by date, sentiment, author etc.
  • Click on the search bar to find mentions containing specific words or phrases.
  • Use the Sentiment filter to show only positive, neutral, or negative mentions.

2. Reviewing Sentiment & Priority Tags

  • Each mention is color-coded based on its sentiment:
    • Negative (red)
    • Neutral (grey)
    • Positive (blue)
  • Some mentions include priority tags such as:
    • Risk (potential reputation or compliance concerns)
    • Purchase (potential buying intent)
    • Cancel (potential customer churn)
    • Service (customer requests needing attention)

3. Viewing Mention Details

  • Click on a mention to see its full details, including:
    • The source (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, news site)
    • Timestamp (when it was posted)
    • Author information (social media handle or username)
    • Keywords matched that caused it to be collected

4. Applying Tags & Bulk Editing Mentions

  • Click on a mention to add tags for easier categorisation.
  • Select multiple mentions to apply bulk edits, such as changing tags or marking mentions for further review.

5. Exporting Mentions

  • Click Download CSV to export the filtered mentions for further analysis.
