DataEQ has published the 2022 UK Utilities Sentiment Index, revealing how the country’s leading energy providers compare in the eyes of consumers online.
The study tracked over 527 000 tweets about British Gas, Centrica, Octopus Energy, Scottish and Southern Energy, Scottish Power, OVO Energy, EDF Energy and E.ON Energy. The industry scored poorly in Net Sentiment, averaging at -53.6%. This is 9.3 percentage points lower than 2021.
